Our Story
Revolutionising High-End Style for Australian Homes
Our journey began from a common frustration: the overinflated prices Australian customers face when seeking high-end Persian rugs. We realised that in most cases, you’re primarily paying for a retailer’s significant operating costs and exorbitant rent, not the true value of the handmade rug or carpet itself. This insight sparked the incarnation of Handmade Rugs To Order. We created a direct-to-customer platform, essentially a wholesale model with us as your concierge, to empower everyday Australians to acquire handmade, bespoke rugs without breaking the budget and at a fraction of the cost of other retailers and online offerings. By avoiding superfluous retailer costs, we pass significant savings directly to you. This approach is rooted in our own experiences as rug enthusiasts, having navigated the same market challenges ourselves. Now, you can invest in the best rugs money can buy with transparency and exceptional value, as we continue to redefine standards within the australia carpets and rugs market.
Our Value Proposition Is Simple… to manage the complete process for discerning customers wanting authentic, handmade rugs and carpets that cuts out ‘middle men’ layers of cost, those with showrooms and commissioned-based sales staff, and mass-produced online suppliers, to give top quality customer results for less financial outlay.
We understand the considerable time and effort it takes to find a truly high-quality rug—an authentic piece of art that elevates your home and stands as a lasting investment. This deep understanding is precisely why we founded our business: to revolutionise how discerning Australians acquire their handmade rugs and carpets. We recognised the inefficiencies and inflated costs inherent in traditional retail models, where multiple “middlemen” dilute value and obscure the true craftsmanship. Our mission is to cut through that complexity, with direct access to our dedicated manufacturer in Jaipur, India, renowned for their centuries-old expertise in creating the world’s most beautiful textiles, helping you acquire the finest of floor art money can buy.

Customers often look to include these smaller items in their orders as a means to achieve a consistent look-and-feel room style that features their primary rug or carpet, or wall art tapestry.
